Some of the changes to the 2020 Kia Optima include additions to the Forward Collision-Avoidance-Assist feature. Pedestrian Detection has been added for the Optima LX and S. The EX and SX trims are equipped standard with wireless smartphone charging as well. New to the lineup is the EX Premium trim. Previously this was an available option package.
The infotainment system provides compatibility with both Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™. This allows you to make use of Siri on the Apple side to send texts with your voice, while on the Android side you can make use of features such as Google Maps.
For those that want to listen to music in style, the available Harman Kardon® sound system gives you 10 speakers to give you a 7.1-channel surround-sound listening experience.

Standard safety and driver-assist technologies like the Blind-Spot Collision Warning system can let you know with audio and visual alerts when there are vehicles in your blind-spots. Other features such as Forward Collision-Avoidance makes use of a camera and sensors to keep you aware of pedestrians and vehicles ahead and can even apply the brakes to reduce or avoid a frontal impact.
The Kia Optima is built on an Advanced High Strength Steel body that has been reinforced in key stress areas for improved handling and a quiet ride.
When you walk up to the Kia Optima, you'll first notice its signature tiger nose grille. With the option of adding LED headlights, you can add to the overall look while also improving visibility at night.
To help your Optima stand out you can add 18-inch black alloy wheels along with accented mirrors and side sills. To round out the look, you can add a gloss black rear spoiler as well.
In addition to the standard 2.4-liter I-4 engine, the SX and EX models have two other turbocharged options to choose from. The Optima EX is equipped with a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine that is paired with a seven-speed DCT to give you up to 178 horsepower and up to 195 pound-feet of torque. This powerful engine also balances out efficiency with it getting up to an EPA-estimated 37 MPG on the highway and 27 MPG in the city as well.
The Optima SX, on the other hand, has a more powerful 2.0-liter turbocharged GDI engine to provide you with up to 245 horsepower and up to 260 pound-feet of torque. With a sport-tuned suspension and standard paddle shifters, the Optima SX is ready for the road or track.
